Taking the Right Steps

The EIT Refurbishing Centre was created in 2009 with a mission to redirect, from the e-waste stream, computers, electronics and legacy telecommunications equipment, which can be repaired to working condition.

In its mission to the environment, the EIT Refurbishing Centre sorts e-waste into equipment and parts which can be effectively reused.  Items that are defective and cannot be repaired, or are functionally obsolete, will be recycled by e-waste recyclers who meet eco-friendly standards and are approved under the Ontario Government "OES" standards.

The EIT Refurbishing Centre strives to provide good quality refurbished products which helps the environment and gives jobs and opportunities to the community.
