Greetings
and thanks for stopping by Clift's Corner. A few words from
Clift...
Dear Valued Customers,
In product sales there are Winners and Losers, just like in
sports. At EIT, we offer services and products not products and
services i.e.: our core business is services supported by
distributed products.
In product sales, we have had winners such as our own ISDN-2400
(PRI ISDN) and the SS7-CND (Calling Name Display) and of course,
the Siemens/Stromberg Carlson DCO switch, which we introduced to
the Canadian market in 1985 and it is still supported and
performing well today after twenty years.
At EIT, we have evaluated and tried many products over the years
but in 2002 we met with the Taqua team in Hyannis, Massachusetts
and in Dallas, Texas and were highly impressed with their
development platform and the evolution of a new, powerful, small
softswitch (The T-7000).
Winners always stand the test of time. Much turmoil has happened
in our industry since 2001 but the development of this
technology has continued and re-surfaced in 2006 as a powerful
competitor in the switching market. The product supports from 40
to 40,000 ports and provides TDM, IP, fixed and mobile wireless
from a common platform, has a small footprint and the cost, when
compared to return on investment mirrors its size (small).
The word Taqua is an Inuit word that describes a whale breaking
through the ice. The switch is not a whale but in our opinion is
truly “Ice-breaking technology”.
As Taqua’s “exclusive Canadian partner, EIT has a Winner.”
Sincerely,
Clift White
